This means that the entire hotel runs on renewable energy and the 6 individual rooms in the hotel are furnished with second-hand furniture. Even the decoration here is natural or recycled. For example, former fishing nets that have been woven into carpets. How cool is that?
In addition to all the sustainability, you can also expect a really good, regional breakfast, an energetic bar with live music and the hotel’s own bike rental service.

The Hendrick’s is the perfect boutique hotel if you are visiting Amsterdam for the first time.
The location in the center is brilliant. You can easily reach the most important sights of Amsterdam on foot. The staff are super friendly and courteous and will help you with all your questions about your city trip.

Very cool extras at Mr. Jordaan are the delicious free coffee throughout the day and a small farewell gift at check-out.

Now it’s getting fancy! Tribe Amsterdam City is an ultra-modern hotel in the trendy and authentic Amsterdam-Noord district. It’s not just a place to stay, but a real place to be.
The hotel offers a working area, which is great if you need to work during your Amsterdam city trip. If you just want to laze around after sightseeing, the beautiful communal lounge and large rooms are perfect.
All the rooms in the Tribe are superbly equipped and the beds are simply cozy. You won’t hear any of the city noise in the rooms.

Unlike in the city center, the location on Museumplein is very quiet and the small number of 4 rooms makes the Conscious Hotel very intimate and personal. Simply great for switching off.
We also love the clean, modern furnishings. Every room here is reminiscent of a modern work of art.

The Highlander is also a small boutique hotel that has been skillfully integrated into a historic canal house in the heart of Amsterdam. We love this combination!
Here you stay overnight surrounded by great sights. So as soon as you set foot outside the door in the morning, you’ll be right in the middle of the action.
And it’s not just the location that makes for a great start to the day, but also the hotel rooms. They are so individually and colorfully designed that you’ll be in a good mood as soon as you wake up. As wonderfully multicultural as Amsterdam itself.

You can never go wrong with an overnight stay in a Motel One. And the Motel One Amsterdam is also a solid 3-star hotel with a fair price-performance ratio.
Of course, you can’t expect the extremely personal atmosphere of a hotel chain as you can in other Amsterdam boutique hotels, but you will benefit from the guaranteed good service of the chain.
The rooms are simple, but fully serve their purpose. Color comes into play in the lobby and the breakfast room. And the breakfast menu here is really to our taste. Extensive, varied and really tasty.
And there’s another big plus point for the fact that dogs are allowed in the hotel.

Extra tip: Outside Inn
The Outside Inn is definitely not a classic boutique hotel in Amsterdam. But we think it’s so cool and unusual that we simply have to list it here.
In this accommodation you don’t get your own room, but a caravan. The campers are all under cover in the hotel, which has toilets and showers.
We particularly like the fact that there are seating areas in front of each camper and swings in the communal area with a green floor – almost like being out in nature!
The nearest metro station is only a 5-minute walk from the Outside Inn. From there, it’s a 10-minute ride to the city center.
